Dementia rarely announces itself. It usually starts with something small in a parent or a partner, and the hard part is working out whether it means anything at all. Dr Henry Brodaty AO, one of Australia's leading dementia experts, spends an hour with us: forty-five minutes on exactly that question, then fifteen for ours.
