Demystifying Dementia with Dr. Henry Brodaty

Learning

About this event
Dementia rarely announces itself. It usually starts with something small in a parent or a partner, and the hard part is working out whether it means anything at all. Dr Henry Brodaty AO, one of Australia's leading dementia experts, spends an hour with us: forty-five minutes on exactly that question, then fifteen for ours. What you will walk out with • The line between getting older and something that needs a doctor • The early warning signs that have nothing to do with memory • When to seek a formal diagnosis, and what to ask for • How to handle it steadily if a change does come in your family Two ways to be there • In the room, at Far East Foam, 117 Dien Bien Phu Street, Ward 15, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. No car parking at the building, so a taxi or Grab is easiest. 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Come at 11:30, when lunch is laid out, and spend the first half hour with the other members in the room. The talk is on screen from noon, and afterwards we stay together to talk it through, which on this subject tends to be the part people remember. Seats are limited. • Online, from wherever you are. Join on Zoom for the talk itself, 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Details Thursday 10 September 2026. The talk runs 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Vietnam time either way. Free for EO Vietnam members. US$20 for Guests. Sign-ups close on 7 September. Everyone registers individually, including those coming to the room, and your Zoom link is issued to you personally and cannot be passed on. So please register in your own name rather than sharing someone else's. Zoom meeting link will be shared to online attendees within 24 hours prior to the start time. The session is recorded. Everyone who registers receives the recording and the slides afterwards, whether or not you make the live session.
